The world is a scary place. For parents as well as children.  Explaining the concepts of personal safety to children in a way that is empowering without being scary is very difficult. Yet, it is very needed. We are passionate about talking to kids about safety all the time. Safety is an every day, on the toilet, brushing your teeth, what's for dinner type of conversation. As we try it on our own kids, we are sharing here. We would love to hear from you about what works for YOUR kids.

    About

“Safety Sessions” introduces specific “tricky” situations and offers suggested responses for kids and parents alike. We focus on building up critical skills of self-awareness and situational judgment. These skills are the foundation for children to react flexibly to a variety of situations. The emphasis is on empowering kids to become advocates for their own safety, and on encouraging families to weave safety conversations into the daily fabric of their lives.

On this site you'll find Video Lessons,    Blog Posts, and Resources to help engage in meaningful conversations around personal safety and self-advocacy for kids and parents.

We help kids and families recognize their “awareness muscle” and learn to make it stronger.
